Infintium Fuel Cell Systems is proud to announce its new agreement with the Foshan City government of the Guangdong province to build their Hydrogen Power Cells in the Greater Bay Area of southern China. The partnership will be a 10 year arrangement with a total investment of over $100 million from the local government to support the manufacture of hydrogen energy sources for the industrial vehicle market. The project will be supported by a land grant in the Nanhai District for Infintium to build a production facility and local office within the next year. The site will initially have the capability to build up to 5,000 Power Cell units per year and an additional investment in 3 years will double this assembly capacity as well as open up opportunity to develop other hydrogen-powered systems onsite.

With a local population of more than 8,000 forklifts in the Nanhai District, this deal presents the potential for some of the world’s largest industrial vehicle companies to adopt Infintium technology. Currently, Infinitum offers 3 different levels of Power Cells to meet the energy demands of various vehicles and domestic customers include Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Michelin. With bases in both South Carolina and Shanghai, China, Infintium aims to take a multi-continental approach to their business growth and continue to stay at the cutting edge of fuel cell technologies.
